The Equinox Project is made up of dedicated volunteers. We all have the knowledge that Inyo is one of a kind and deserving of special care and attention. Besides being solid evidence of foreign visitation in pre-Columbian times, it is the only existent location known to explain the root mysteries of Native American religion.
The Project Director, Mr. Roderick Schmidt, has been involved in the research since 1982. His published papers may be read in the journals of the Epigraphic Society. Our Director Emeritus, Mr. Vincent Yoder, made the initial observations that led to the discovery of the Equinox Animation. Mr. Yoder's paper Equinox Site at Swansea describes his observations. The Assistant Director, Ms. Christine Patenaude has yet to publish, but was instrumental in the discovery that the Equinox Animation stage was a spiral and not a set of concentric circles as previously noted. The Director of Explorations, Mrs. Gloria Farley, Has published a book about her many years of epigraphic explorations called IN PLAIN SIGHT which is in its fourth printing.
We have several open positions and seek qualified volunteers. See CONTACT for details.
