The Goddess Epona was carried to the Americas well before Columbian and Christian contact. Mrs. Gloria Farley and Dr.Barry Fell have combined efforts to demonstrate a petroglyph site called Cave 2 of the Anubis Caves contained an image and written inscription in Ogam Bricren that was a clear reference to Epona, the Horse Goddess. Details are in Mrs. Farley's book, IN PLAIN SIGHT . The inscription (in part) reads, Epona, the horse goddess herself, observing the motion of the stars. What relates this to Inyo is that it is a prime example of the use of Ogam Bricren. At Inyo, exists an inscription suspected to be Bricren, but as yet remains untranslated.
