An Eye of Bel
Mr. Donal Buchanan visited the site with a group of epigraphers after a meeting in San Francisco. This sketch was given to Mrs. Gloria Farley and she included it in her book, IN PLAIN SIGHT. We have attempted to locate the inscription and found three that could have been source for Mr. Buchanan's representation. The Eye of Bel may have Celtic or Phonecian roots. The all seeing eye was a religious theme common to both cultures.
