The Summer Solstice sun dagger, perviously discussed, is not a precise marker. Observations made a week prior and post the solstice show no perceptable change. I had noticed this interaction while observing the sun dagger display. I commented to a bystander that I had thought it may have had a significant interaction with the pecked sunsymbol, but admitted that the timing was off and it was probably coinsidence. He replied, "Well, it might not do anything with the sunsymbol, but it lines up with the arrow perfectly!" "Arrow?" I asked, "What arrow?" I walked over to his vantage point and could see a very faint arrow pecked into the stone and sure enough, the shadow was in direct contact. It was clear that this marked the actual day of the solstice.
